The art of Zen on bread and butter
“There is no more bread, no more knife and no more butter. There is only the gesture,” Gorodish from Diva.
The stroke, a simple gesture with the brush, is drawn in seconds. It is therefore a fleeting, often repeated action that only shows a coherent result when taken as a whole.
But is that so or is every little point important in achieving the whole? I therefore pour the lines onto the canvas like a sculpture. No matter how narrow they are, they are intentionally placed.
Then colored, the color forms the coat. The plain awakens and becomes a relief.
Die Kunst des Zen am Butterbrot
"Es gibt kein Brot mehr, kein Messer mehr und keine Butter mehr. Es gibt nur noch die Geste", Gorodish aus Diva.
Der Strich, eine einfache Geste mit dem Pinsel, wird in Senkundenschnelle gezogen. Er ist damit eine flüchtige, sich oft wiederholende Aktion, die erst in ihrer Gesamtheit ein geschlossenes Ergebnis zeigt.
Aber ist das so oder ist doch jeder noch so kleine Punkt gewichtig beim Erreichen des Ganzen? Ich gieße daher die Striche gleich einer Skulptur auf die Leinwand. Seien sie noch so schmal, sie sind willentlich gesetzt.
Anschließen koloriert, bildet die Farbe den Mantel. Es erwacht die Ebene und wird zum Relief.
